INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for
20-1142

1> Remove the old axle, noting the position of the disc and sprocket flanges.

2> If you are installing the axle in a pre 2003 Blaster, remove the c-clip and keeper ring from the brake side of the axle. Take the large ring from the plastic sack and slide it onto the axle so that it is between the carrier bearing and the larger diameter spline. When installed correctly, this ring covers a section of spline. Skip to #4.

3> Slide the brake hub onto the axle.

4> Slide the axle through the bearing carrier.

5> Slide the sprocket flange onto the axle.

6> Tighten the axle in the swing arm using the stock nut assembly or Durablue Posi*Lock 20-1632.

7> Pre 2003 Blaster owners will need to slide the brake rotor flange onto the axle (the flange "floats" on the spline). Ride the vehicle and check for axle tightness. You may have to retighten the axle.
